Cedar Island Public School

The Cedar Island Public School is housed all in one building, grades kindergarten through twelfth. The classes are small, with only one teacher per grade in the elementary and middle school wings, and the environment is tight-knit enough that everyone knows everyone--the students all did grow up together, after all. You walk down the main hallway of the school and pass a glass-fronted display case that holds football trophies: the school may be small, but the football team is their pride and joy. A poster further down the hall advertises the upcoming homecoming dance, and informs you that nominations for the homecoming king and queen are open until Thursday. A green-toned mural of a forest graces a wall in the cafeteria, and bold text proclaiming GO FOXES! parades across it in front of the trees. You peek into the door of a classroom--one of the larger ones, the high school health class, and see rows of desks arranged in neat lines.
